Silverline polisher ??

Hi all! I have been wanting to buy a Meguiars or UMD polisher for a while now but really can't find the cash at the moment Has anyone used or heard much about the Silverline polishers? They seem to have all the necessary features and are very well priced. I realise they have a fixed rather than random orbital action but I can practice rather than destoying my paintwork on the first attempt!

What you think?

I have the Blue one. It is brilliant for the money but be very carefull.

The first thing I did with my rotary was melt through the laquer on my car.

I have the blue one too. Pretty easy just start off slow until you get the hang of it and don't stick to the same area too long!

you'll need the one with the foam polishing pads not just the finishing pads

Re: Silverline polisher ??

I have heard a few bad things about the quality of the foam pads that come with it so I think I will probably invest in some quality Menzerna, Meguiars or CSS pads. As you said, if I take it easy and start at a low speed it should be fairly striaght forward.

Mine didn't come with any pads. The backing plate is bigger than proper polishing pads too.

So you will need to buy a proper backing plate and some decent pads.
