Cleaner Wax?

So should you use cleaner wax?

(e.g. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...id=386&subcat=)

Any reasons as to why/why not?

Is it just a "quick" method that means you don't
have to clay every time etc?

Should it be used regularly/sparingly/not at all?

Anyone used such stuff before?

Re: Cleaner Wax?

Nothing wrong with the Meguiars but it is not really a substitute for claying or other types of prep. It is fine for a quick and easy shine, just don't expect miracles.

Re: Cleaner Wax?

Okay, I've tried it now.
It's quicker than claying/waxing and it's better
than not doing anything. More of a stop-gap.

Re: Cleaner Wax?

The Meguiars proffessional range is a bit hit and miss, some of their products are superb whilst others are not so. Not having used this particular product I can't say.

Many so-called Cleaner Wax products contain fillers that will dissolve and wash away after short periods of time, they are really designed for forecourt cars to look their best for sale.

What finish are you trying to achieve?

Re: Cleaner Wax?

I use Car-Lack 68 NSC (Same as Klasse AIO) to clean and seal my wheels and then top up with Carnauba Wax P21S from time to time.

This, together with regular washing to get the brake dust off keeps them sparkling.
