Bosch vs Nilfisk pressure washer? Not another Karcher

Time to buy a new pressure washer so I've been doing my research and come up with two contenders. I want a higher end one as I'm fed up with puny cheap ones lasting 5 minutes, particularly Karchers. I've lost count of how many I've had over the years and finally learnt my lesson so definitely not getting another Karcher ever.

Two to choose from are

Bosch GHP 5-75 X Pro

Nilfisk P150.2-10 X-tra

Does anyone out there own either of these models and what are your thoughts?

Ive owned a Bosch one before and was happyish with it but only a green one so went wrong like all the Karchers. The blue pro ones have brass pumps so thinking about one of those. A metal pump is a must I think, which is why the Nilfisk is in the mix and also it has a slightly higher pressure output. You can also buy a wide fan auto nozzle attachment for the Nilfisk.

I'm Interested to hear about Nilfisks build quality if anyone owns any of their washers even if its not the P150 model.

Any advice or opinions much appreciated, as long as its not 'get a Karcher' or whats 'wrong with Karcher mine is fine?' or 'never had a problem with Karcher myself'. I'm definitely not getting another Karcher.... I dont like Karcher

Not the model you're interested in, but I've had a Nilfisk for a couple of years. Changed from Karchers after a couple of failures. The Nilfisk has been reliable for me.

Thats good to know thanks. Ive read good things about the reliability on them. Been let down too many times by Karcher

This it the classic internet thing of you asking for a or b, and me saying c, but I happened to spot this the other day:

Pressure Washers | Vax

At £50 you could buy 4 and just chuck them when they break. And it's a steam cleaner too. Probably best not on the car though.

Haha i like that, typical internet thing you're right and typical forum thing too. Strangely enough for once quite useful Tried hitting the link on the actual vax page and it doesnt take me anywhere to read up the spec on it and cant find much else where. Looks a bit too low pressure though but certainly a good deal.

Yeah my last one was a K4 eco which has the 5 year gaurantee. Trouble is I didnt register it (stupid me) and when it went wrong I got a little bit frustrated and kicked it around the yard to show it how disappointed I was in it. I dont think Karcher will honour the warranty on a box of bits now

Bazza, I ordered two of those last night. Went to see my mate and he couldnt believe how good the price was so he ordered one straight away so I told him to get one for me too while he was at it. You are right at £50 you cant go too far wrong and got to be worth a try. I know it might not be the power and quality I was after but you never know I might be suprised. I'll keep an eye out for a deal on the nilfisk and might get one of those in the future if the price is right.

Cheers for the heads up Matey

No worries. I believe that 2000w is reasonably powerful as they go, so will be interesting to see how you find it.
