Re: Had a CG Day

Looks very nice, but I'm gonna play devils advocate and ask what's the point of appling Pete's 53 after you've already applied 2 coats of Jetseal?

Ahh well you would have to be a Professional Detailer with years of experience to understand... and I'm not

CG recommended it, looks great and smells great (Pete's 53')

Even have an empty tub on the desk to sniff now and then - very tropical

Joking aside WAX is generally a LSP - last stage for final protection and beading / ultimate bling...
The Jetseal is more of a sealant... to be done 1st..

And I could tell the difference - my Bella has a noticably deeper red shine after using Jetseal 1st and then Pete's 53'

I could then use say add a Pro Detailer Spray using a MF..

As you are obviously desperate to give them a try :

Auto Detailing High Quality Waxes And Sealants

CG would recommend it, they want you to spend lots of money

It would be interesting to do a blind test, see if you really could see the difference. Actually it wouldn't be very interesting at all lol.

I have far too many waxes and stuff already to buy yet more. After buy a few I realised that spending more than £15 was a waste of time and they're all a much of a muchness to me. Not being a fussy bugger even a bit of Turtle Wax is just fine for me

Err... OK then don't do a blind test... ??

Fine by me.. Each to their own.

Guess you won't be buying Zymol Vintage Glaze then ? £1,852.00 a pot

I could do a blind test but it's not worth the effort.

Why would I want to spend £1852 on a wax? Quite simply it wouldn't be worth the money. I could buy something useful like a set of alloy wheels, new set of tyres, an exhaust and a 330mm brake upgrade rather than a wax where I suspect the material cost is no more than about £18.52 and the rest making someone very very rich.

I was joking..
I agree, out of my league. £1852 It's a mad world. But then again if you've just spent hundreds of thousands on a car 2k for wax is small beer..

Re: Had a CG Day

I suspect most people buying it would be professional detailers, so may require the best for their arsenal, for hobbiests £15-£30 quid gets a very good wax. My most expensive wax is the new AG High Definition, which I blagged for free Apart from that I bought a tub or P21s for £20 and a tub of Bilthambers Auto-balm for £15. I generally use Autoglym products, used them for about 15 years and happy with the results. They aren't fashionable with the Detailingworld crowd but I don't really care. Still have a soft spot for a bit of old school TW Original!

I did some work for them a few years back - a friendly mob - and their products do the job nicely..they have also just released a super wax.. Also won a kit from them free from their web site. Especially like the glass polish as it drys to a haze and you can see where you have been (cleaned) if you see what I mean..

Super wax that's the one I blagged for free! I also won a pot of Bodywork shampoo from their website. I think I've got some of their glass polish, I generally just use windowlean from the supermarket.

I find with normal glass cleaner I miss sections, but not with the AG Polish as it dryes to a haze, that you then buff off..
The new one I meant is High Definition Wax from Autoglym :: Welcome
