theshinexperience: Maybach 57

Hello all,

Well this was yesterdays job, a protection detail on a 2006 Maybach 57.

I'm afraid that there arent many photos because even though there was no correction it was still a massive car to detail in a day.

I'm also get bad looks from my fiancee as I'm working on Valetines Day, so its only a quick write up!

I can now tick this off my last of cars that I have wanted to detail. The car had special flip paint which showed up as dark blue in some light but then a very vivid purple from other angles, it looked absolutely amazing.

The wax that I used was Zymol Destiny.

Apparently as the car is loaded with so many electronic devices, it takes an hour for the car to fully shut down once you have locked it!

The level of luxury was incredible, I especially liked the soft touch doors whereby you simply push the door to and then it clicks in place.

Enjoy!

I love the detail such as the Maybach logo inside the headlamp unit.

Thanks for looking.

Roy

Nice job but that is one pig ugly car in my opinion, was it penned by Stevie Wonder? Those alloys wouldn't look out of place on a Hyundai.

Yeah! I know you will produce a good end result, having chatted with you in the past.: That machine does look very tasty when she is shining in all her glory.: I won't get into debates with a finishing man on polishes etc.: Main thing is being able to get a spot of colour on here and there, and thats why I prefer a solid colour myself:

Would be better if we could actually display pictures on this forum.

Think the AO server is low on disk space ??

The fella's motor is bigger than his house!

I was expecting some palatial mansion, not a 3/4 bed detached..

In your example if [IMG] code was on the actual image would be displayed, not a link to it. AO converts URLs to links anyway.

Yeah I know, if you reply to this thread and/or look at the bottom of the message box you can see what is on and what is off, it's sub-forum specific.

That's what I noticed. Pain in the ar$e, dunno why IMG code can't be on on all sections - like every other forum

Re: theshinexperience: Maybach 57

'Cause it takes up space and CPU capacity and given the size of AO, we've limited it to Just Images and the Alfas 4 Sale area.

Will have a word and see if we can get it turned on for this section. Would make life easier when posting up photos.

Re: theshinexperience: Maybach 57

Photos can be uploaded instead anyway.

Go to "Advanced" posting mode, then select "Manage Attachments" and hey presto, you got the pictures in the post

Re: theshinexperience: Maybach 57

Surely that take up more server space than just allowing the [IMG] code so that say the files are hosted on say Photobucket or the like ?

So why is [IMG] code disabled ?
