Bought my Mito - first impressions

Hello there,
My wife and I bought our first Alfa a month ago.
A 1.4 95 Mito Veloce in Etna with Cruise, Climate Control, and rear parking sensors (He is called Rambo).
We had it delivered from Lipscombe in Kent.
The guy gave us half price on the paint, and free climate with free delivery! He also didn't realise it came with parking sensors (a cancelled order) so we got those for free as well.

As for first impressions we LOVE the car. No problems at all, great handling, overtaking, and looks (I like people checking me out). We are truly bitten by the Alfa bug.
My old car was a 98 KA so Rambo is quite a revelation. Everything feels so tight and smooth, no rattles and shakes. Was surprised that the ride was so good, not too hard as I expected, and returns around 37-38 combined with 750 miles on the clock.

The only downside is that the delivery bloke crunched the front splitter on the ground when he was taking it off the truck, and if you look closely you can see some gouges underneath
so we are having it fixed at a local dealer next week and the dealer will pay for it.

The only problem I have now is that I don't have enough money for another Alfa, stupid mortgage and bills and things.

Thanks for all advice I have had from this friendly forum

The front spoiler is very low on the MiTo. I'm always scraping mine as I enter and leave an underground garage complex. Shame really

Buy an older 156 V6 as a weekender - cheap as chips these days

The splitter does crunch easy, getting on and off the ferry at Dover is quite bad unless you're going V slowly.

Of course the Alfa 'rumours' are true

I reckon any other new car from any other marque would have no issues what so ever
