Has anyone got experience with Servicing at Motor Village?

Hi guys,

I am looking to book my MiTo QV in for a service super soon. At the same time, I think I'm going to get the cambelt and water pump done as a precautionary measure.

Has anyone on here got any experience with Motor Village and their servicing department? I just want to guage what they are like before I book my pride and joy in with them.

Thank you! I shall definitely check them out. If you have used them more than once, that bodes well!

Ooo I do like the sound of a Ragazzon. Sound nice and burbly but not O.T.T which is good.

I drove a 1.4 tb 120bhp a few years ago, feels more powerful than 120bhp, that's for sure!

Hi armoore, thank you!

I have done a bit of research on them, they appear to have a good reputation which is great to see.

Really local to each other then!

How were they during the process of your buying/handing over of your Guilietta?

I'll definitely consider them as I don't have full confidence in the dealership.

Motor Village handed over my Giulietta and on getting home, not far, near Selsdon, the tyres were set to 26 and 23 psi where they should have been 2.6 and 2.3 bar. Cover was missing off positive battery terminal, screwdriver missing from tool kit, both were in the salesman's desk drawer. Part of the deal was a free service but on getting it done I was asked for the cost, luckily I had it all in writing so there was a dispute between sales and service as to which would pay for it out of their funds. Admittedly when I had it done I said I'd already changed the cabin filter so a new, in the box, one was given to me. Also I started to get warning lights coming on and I left it with them and they charged the battery and said it was a fault with the ABS. In fact it was the battery, 2 years old, failing and I replaced it with an AGM Varta which 5 years on is still performing well. Now my Giulietta has had oil changes, water pump, tensioners, cam belt, gear position sensor lus other stuff all done at Day and Whites as was my daughter's Giulietta, multi air unit, plugs, cam belt, water pump, tensioners, oil and filter all done. As I said top people at Day and Whites and you should be able to get there in about 35 minutes depending on traffic. They also have loaners available.

That's not great from the dealer, although not really surprising to hear. You would think that tyre pressures is something they would be able to get right!

You've definitely sold to me the idea to use Day & Whites, thank you!

I drove that one too when a new balance shaft seal was replaced. Had the other one done (Lancia version, better quality apparently) as well as the crankshaft seal and clutch seeing as it was all apart anyway. That on my GTV.
Now they have a couple of 156/9/Sportwagon types, haven't paid much attention really. There's also a Suzuki WagonR. I believe the R stands for Racing! But I've not seen that one for a while.
They also pick up and drop off but best to ask to get the correct info.
When I had the G done at Motor Village I had a Fiat 500, nice red colour but absolutely filthy inside and out even though it had only done 85 miles. I cleaned it for them before I returned it. The OCD kicking in!
