Resetting Service Indicator (I have Nav)

Hi, I have just had a service and they forgot to reset service indicator. I have the flip up NAV. Is there a way I can reset it. I tried OBD connection but I think my phone software is a bit limited.

I can take it back to the garage but if I can do it myself then that would be easier.

Thanks

Martin

If you have someone local with MultiECUScan (MES) they might kindly do it for you - stick your location in the thread, or in your bio.

And whatever you do don't keep retrying to reset several times to make sure. Otherwise you use up the 'vouchers' and then you won't get the countdown miles to next service. Ask me how I know that!

The 'paid for' MultiEcuScan can reinstate them but I don't have that version.

I got the garage to reset it and it shows that it’s been done in their machine. However the indicator on the Nav software shows ————

Hello All,

I'm trying to reset the service and oil light on my 2014 QV.

I have the MultiEcuScan and I'm on my second lead specially for Italian cars from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can scan and do a load of stuff but if I select Service in the programme the programme won't connect with the ECU

Any ideas how do the Service reset ?

Garage
In order to connect to service you need the yellow adapter wire.
Don't your MultiECUscan mention this?

Have a look in this link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-FIAT...0AAOSwjVVVxyqL

Where in Oxfordshire are you located Harold?

I have a cable set here if you want to come here and reset your light.

I'm in Witney.

Thank you, that's very kind of you. I'm now in Warwickshire near Stratford. I've ordered some correct (hopefully) cables since I want to reset the service in the future as well. I'm happy for my local garage to do the regular servicing but I supply the oil from Opie but they can't reset the service lights.

I've also got a flashing odometer from a previous fault when the entire infotainment system / sat nav failed. I'm hoping I can fix this so it doesn't flash any more. It still clocks up the miles but always flashes.

It resets all by itself after 2 months.

Nope. It's been flashing for 4 months. I've finally got the (hopefully) right leads and a bit of time this w/e, so, will try and sort out the service lights, the flashing oil change light and the flashing odometer. The dashboard is just a load of flashing stuff at the moment. I'll report back......

Flashing odometer usually needs a proxi realignment
