Giulietta transmission howl when cold

Maybe an obvious one...
When manoeuvring at low speed such as car parking and three point turns etc. I am getting a howl from the car. It happens when cold and using the clutch finding the biting point in 1st, reverse or sometimes when slipping the clutch in 2nd.
I ‘m guessing transmission fluid is not enough or needs changing or just not fluid enough in cold weather until warmed up?

Sounds more like the clutch release bearing (unfortunately as it's an expensive fix). I wouldn't have thought lack of gearbox oil (transmission fluid is for automatics, not TCT though) would cause that kind of problem but relatively easy to check.
