Current factory build times...

After faffing about for ages, we've decided to trade in our Giulietta for a Giulia Veloce. Can't find anything in stock or even ex-demo in the colour and packs we want. So it might be a factory order, but we've been quoted up to 14 weeks. Does anyone have any insight into current real-life delivery times, bearing in mind summer factory closure etc? Any intel much appreciated! Thanks very much...

I've just got my Veloce and it is a stunning car. Just bear in mind, that you will save a fortune if you can find one that is over a year or so old. As soon as you buy a new car you can write off the VAT!

I've been looking around for a while for low mileage 2nd hand Veloces, but they're really thin on the ground (at least in the spec and colour we want). I was really hoping to grab an ex-dem, but nothing on the front either... I guess it's to be expected given their slow sales since launch...

From what I've been able to glean the Giulia refresh seems likely to be pretty much mostly cosmetic (haven't seen anything recently about the power uplift on the Veloce, for instance, or have I missed something?) and as we're not really in the market for the forthcoming coupe, I think buying now-ish is viable for our needs at least... Just hate the thought of such a long delivery wait!

No power changes (and no coupé is forthcoming). MY20 has a new tunnel, new shifter, relocated parking brake switch, more ADAS, touch infotainment with new user interface and connected services, wireless phone charging, new steering wheel, new paint colours.

Around 100 preproduction Giulia MY20s have been built so far, with series production slated to begin within two months.
