So, it looks like my Alfa experience is coming to an end. Made a very snap decision this afternoon to follow what I enjoy and get more into track days and proper driving. The QF has been by far the best car I've ever owned and surprisingly the cheapest to run (on the road). In all honesty I am gutted to get out of the Alfa but I just can't justify keeping the QF as well as another car, I don't do that sort of mileage.
The car will likely go to the dealer sometime this week but if anyone is looking for a QF then a last minute private sale is possible. There's a dit on the Facebook Giulia owners page about what comes with the package. Not just a regular car sale wink
I wish I could just have a drive in a QF.....at least you have had the experience and enjoyment. Enjoy wherever you go next and remember your QF
Wewill be very sad to see you go. One of the early crew and always good to read your posts. The QV is the best road sedan on the market IMO. Im a track junky but Ive never once taken mine on the track. It just wasnt built for it. Id be curious what you are intending to buy? Best...
Excellent choice! Ive been hankering after a Lotus since I drove quite a few owned by friends over the last few years. The Exige 410 would be just about perfect. My biggest consern with them is the new pricing has started to get right up there in the last few years. Personally I think they have priced them out of the market given no bespoke engine etc. I cant recall for sure but the last time I looked a couple of years ago I think the Exige 380 with a few track oriented options was asking as much new as the GT4 I bought (base was 64K GBP). That said I know there are deals on them and Im sure you got a good price on this one. It will be fun on the track and even more fun on the road (manual!).
Should have some great times in that Exige I'd imagine! I've got a few years yet before I can do 2 seaters, but look forward to it nonetheless. Giulia QF will "have to do" for now :-D
Sad to see you go, always a poster whose posts could be relied upon.
