Help on repair advise please

I was hit by a deer 🦌 last night. I’m fine but Sadly the police told me they had to put the deer down.

This is how my Giulia looks...dislocated.

For the expertise Alfistas, is there anyway to fix this (noting the hinges are broken) privately or better not to bother and go ahead with the insurance pain ?

Thank you very much

Ouch, looks like itís a new front bumper to me

Pity you werenít hit by an Old dear ... she wouldíve definitely had insurance, possibly with Saga

Think Iíd be looking for any breakers that might have a complete front end, then get it sprayed Misano.

Protected no claims?

Yes protected and it seems like I need to get through the insurance claim.

Plastic weld the bracket back onto to the headlight, remove bumper - back fill the crack with resin then fill and paint. Any decent bodyshop could do this fairly cheaply. Or if you want it like new go down the insurance route - new headlight, new bumper. Really depends on what you can accept as a repair.

I feel for you. Could have been a lot worse. This was the demise of my beloved 1275GT many years ago with a deer (and lamp post). Makes you appreciate the leaps forward in crash protection. The mini had folded in the middle.

and yes jokes such as "I had no idea where it came from" and "Oh dear" are just part of life after something like this.

Glad you are ok.

Thank you. Indeed I’m glad I’m ok after the technician told that would happen if I hit the deer straight! It would have been a write off or worse landing on the wind screen or my lap!

Actually I was on 60mph and decided to slow down seconds before it jumped at me!!!

Glad that you made it in one piece after seeing these horrible photos! Wow!

I put it under the insurance after receiving horrible quotes from £3000 and beyond! All brackets and sensors etc are smashed!!
