Veloce Exhaust

Gi guys, can anyone recommend a cheap rear exhaust pipe to improve the sound of my Veloce. It certainly has the performance with a performance filter and tuning box... just want to improve the exhaust sound. Can you rev
Commend rear box or straight through pipes, don't want high drone as MY2019 version has no resonator? Cheers guys, looking for best suggestions and best price to purchase from.

I dont think there is a cheap option, a Remus back box is around £480.

I would imagine cheap = drone. I have the Wizard box and I'm very pleased with it (MY2019 also).

I have Remus axle back on and it's improved the sound but no drone or anything else. Didn't go for full cat back as seemed overkill to me. Was just a bolt off, bolt on quick job too and can revert to stock if needed. I wasn't after loud obnoxious boy racer, just a little bit more noise, more feedback etc. Very happy with it. Search the threads for my Remus post last December. Some have had just the back box delete though which would cost you about a third what the Remus cost.

I've been looking at the Remus and its the one im going to go for but it says back box but am i right in thinking that it also includes the pipe that goes to around the middle of the car.?
Remus also do a straight pipe set up but thats going to be way too loud for everyday use

Yes, you get the pipe too. This is what the axle back looks like. The stock one is welded so one piece, whereas the Remus comes as 2 pieces.

Can you fit the stock one in the car to drive it home? I suppose it is possible by folding the rear seats?

Would it be possible to upload a video of the sound?

It's possible yes, with seats down.

It is and has got better now I've done a few more miles. I'd never rev the t*ts off it like that normally, was just to illustrate on the video. Definitely better than stock imo (although I don't know if the MY2019s without the resonator sound any different now). It's not in your face and too loud, just sounds and feels better to me. Very happy with it, no regrets.

When I heard yours drive up my street a couple of weeks ago though it sounded good, better I think that my 2018 Veloce. I wonder if the MY2019 models sound better as the resonator has been removed? Possible?

Well I was thinking that I like the sound of mine and itís very noticeable switching from A to N and especially D BUT is there any sound piping going on through the speakers, as Iím sure it sounds better with the windows closed? Could be very wrong but thatís how it seems to me anyway.

I to have considered getting a Remus as well because the Veloce exhaust note is quiet, I've only driven mine a couple of times in D Gearstick to the left and paddle mode, sound isn't too bad.

To be fair I'd be mightily cheesed off if the interior had piped sound.

If it is piped its not a very good job .
If you're going to pipe it then make it sound loads better - like a Ferrari

I had a 640d once - 6 cylinder diesel - and the piped sound inside was like a V8

So, still, undecided. Does anyone have a custom straight pipe rather than the remus? Does the remus offer any pops and bangs also what's the model number for the remus to suit my MY2019 Veloce.

Anyone local to me near GL11 to offer a sound check...

Much appreciated
Andy

Hey Andy. Like you, I was underwhelmed by the stock sound but didnít want to go boy racer and sounding like a fireworks show at the traffic lights! For £500, a company in Basingstoke replaced my back box and pipe into it with a more throaty one, parts and labour. Did a great job and has left a nice sound that rasps like an Alfa should. Bit of drone when cold but once underway, stays quiet until you give it some beans. If switching to D now, I turn off the radio to enjoy the sound. If you want details or want to come and listen to mine, DM me.

Hey mate, I would love to come and here but you are just a bit too far away.

Any chance you could post a video clip as thinking box delete might be a bit extreme and remus exhaust does not sound loud/deep or aggressive enough...

Cheers
Andy
