166 3.0 A/C condenser

Has anyone fitted an after-market condenser and if so, does it work well?

Half the fins have fallen out of mine, so I've bought an AVA condenser - they're NLA from Alfa. However, it's a more contemporary aluminium design with a narrower core depth (14mm) compared with the flattened "serpent" tube design of the original (22mm).

No, but in general terms, the bigger the condenser, the better. Other than having to put a different amount of ags into the system than specified, I don't think there's a downside to having a condenser that's too big. Too small, will give the system a hard time and your cooling fans will be on a lot more, but too large is fine.

Exactly. I was also looking on alternatives for my 3.2 since neither OEM neither aftermarket is available.
