Bad luck - hope you get it sorted ok.

I quite fancy a shark fin myself, so would also appreciate any thoughts on this too.

Hi - had the same thing happen to mine last week when some helpful young chav decided to nick all the bee sting aerials on all the cars in our street!

Wierdly, I found a replacement from Halfords (designed to fit a Toyota and Rover!) that fits fine....not quite as good as the original but only 8 quif so it'll do til I can research the shark fin option!

...any luck with you guys on the shark vs bee front....?

Re: Help 159 Aerial replacement

I've been looking for a shark fin replacement for months and not found anything..... I find the bee sting ugly, cheap looking and outdated....

Seriously considering popping into a BMW garage and asking....

I wonder if the connections would be the same

From my experience in Halfords I found that there were a fair few sizes....the one that fit, as I said was a Rover version!....might be worth going back in to check if that also fits any Beemers and THEN tracking back to see if I can get a shark fin with the same thread size...
What a pulavah!

Does your OEM aerial fit ok? Mine was a bit loose so I screwed it a bit tighter but it still wobbles very slightly!!??

Re: Help 159 Aerial replacement

Yay! All fixed cost me £35.00 for the Base & the whip not the £300 that the main dealer was going to charge me had a bit of difficulty wedging myself up on to the parcel shelf but well worth the effort & my dents gone!

Take it easy when dropping the headlining looks like it's easily creased

Thanks for all of your input

Re: Help 159 Aerial replacement

*BUMP*

Has anyone else found an EASY way of retro fitting a shark fin aerial to a 159 yet Or a pic of how it looks

I love the lines of my 159 but that sodding aerial really spoils it IMO.

If you look at Peugeot aerials.. they seem the same. Have ordered a GPS version for my 159 SW. Let's see if I can get a reception now..
