Anyone know where I can get new cambelt fitted in York area? Woodcock in Willerby and Alfa Tec in Huddersfield have been recommended but both unavailable at the moment

Another thumbs up for Gareth at northern Alfa

Fastidious, friendly, and fairly priced

Hang on - his lead time for work has increased over the last 5 years. Don’t use him!! Why am I recommending him when my lead time for work just increases?!

If you don't mind a run out to Penrith we can do it for you:

Autolusso Penrith

I can lend you a car and you can have a day out in the Lake district while we get it done if you like. £400 inc vat for a
genuine Alfa cambelt kit & genuine Alfa waterpump supplied & fitted.
Very kind of you. May very well take up your offer. How long does it take to do the job?.

Thoroughly recommend Autolusso Penrith. I always take our Alfa's there for servicing etc even though there are a couple much closer to me. Totally honest, great prices & they always do a fantastic job. Dan also gives great tips etc & is a proper Alfa enthusiast & an expert on the modern stuff. Penrith is a lovely town as well. It's actually an enjoyable day out.

And what a great drive from York along the A66  !

By the way, if it hasn't been done already I absolutely recommend you get the front sub-frame de-rusted & rust-proofed before it gets too bad. It's what killed our Brera off last year - left it too late & it had rotted right through :disappointed: . Instant MOT failure. Getting it treated sooner than later will save you a fortune over a new sub-frame (£750.00+...!). It's a known Brera issue. Fingers-crossed yours hasn't gone that far - get Autolusso to check it out.

I had mine checked a couple of months ago. Wasn't bad but had it derusted and then protected with Waxoyl as a precaution. Many thanks for your follow-up
