So... Some of you may have seen my postings about the "dead" 159 with steering lock ecu fault and VPS..
So now all ecus have been swapped, keys, key reader, steering ecu, body computer and main ecu.. Bingo! Dash lights on and it cranks.. And it cranks.. And it cranks.. Nothing? Fuel is pumping out of filter but it is as if the injectors are turned off?
Makes no difference with original ecu back in.. I have a lot of initial errors on the dash but then they settle, no immobiliser errors showing... Where Do I go from here guys?!?

Is there not a fuel cut off switch underneath the drivers seat?

A basic OBD will be able to read any engine fault codes, assuming that's where your problem lies.

You mention 'main ECU' that's the engine ECU you're referring to right? as these are often coded to all the other bits.

Yes engine ecu.. After chatting with alfa garage I am hoping that all is required now is the injectors to be recoded to the new ecu..? Fingers crossed!

That would make sense, never thought of that!

If you have a windows laptop, worth the cost of a set of cables and multiecuscan license moving forward.

Just realised that rev counter is showing nothing when car turns over trying to start it.. I assume no message will be sent to injectors to fire up? Is this communication what a proxy alignment does??
