Unfortunately my 2.2 (2007 model) driver's seat tilt handle clip (the bit plastic fork that holds the wire in the handle) has snapped - the wire is still in situ. Has anyone got an idea where I can find a replacement handle as it seems Alfa no longer make them and the usual suppliers do not hold any in stock? Alternatively does anyone have any 'cures' that can be used in case a handle cannot be found? Thanks.
Thanks for reply, that was my first port of call but the parts are for post 2008 so no joy. Any ideas on a possible work around as these parts are discontinued?
Could you please explain how I do this or send me a photo if you have done it in your car? The cable has a stud at the end so where do I put the screw on the cable and how do I fix it to the handle. Sorry for Q. Many thanks.
im aus at the moment so cant show you on my car unfortunately
however a small screw inbetween the two cables and into the old plastic housing will secure the cable again, youll need to have a pair of pliers to release the cable first and fold the seat and undo the plastic to start with
easiest way to prevent the mechanism from snapping is to push back on the headrest whilst using the handle, as this takes the strain off the plastic
