Thermostat bolts

Does anyone know the size of the thermostat bolts? and where to buy them from? I've noticed that the top bolt on mine is nowhere to be seen

It would seem this is your part no. - 16287234, references an M8 x25 bolt

You sure it's definitely missing, I'd expect massive leaks with only 1 bolt holding it on - on mine at least, the top one was well hidden and only accessible by feel.

Many thanks for your help, I'm assuming I could just get the bolts from a hardware store? yes it's definitely not there, I can see the threaded hole on the engine block. I've booked it in to get the thermostat changed over as the temp gauge is hardly moving. That's how I noticed as I had a look to see how difficult the job would be to a DIY.

You could get the bolts from a hardware store I assume, that's a common size, and I don't believe the originals are required to be high tensile.
