2006 Brera 3.2 Q4 - Picking up on Sunday!

Happy chap here. Just put a deposit down on the above!

Really happy to have a V6 back I know its not the Busso engine but well its a V6! Looking around it looks like its a GM derived unit so guessing this one finally has cam chains back instead of the belts?

Had a 156 2.5 V6 around 10 or so years ago... always fancied a Brera since they first came out! Love the styling although its a bit heavy for a sports car

Anyway after getting my 159 wrote off a couple of years back and then pottering around in a MB E320 for a few years really looking forward to getting back into an Alfa again.

Anything obvious to check before picking up? Guessing its the usual 159 stuff, suspension bushes etc? Engines are pretty bullet proof as far as I can read.....

So anyway big hi to everyone here (again) it's been a while...and I no longer have to feel depressed reading everyone's experiences in their Alfas...

Oh one quick question... have two kids to transport now and again... 13 and 9... there will be sufficient room in the back I guess...

Welcome back.
Hope your visit back to the fold is a pleasurable experience.

When Spring and summer comes, Im sure youll be driving with the windows down enjoying the sound, also turning the radio down once you approach a tunnel.

No problem If youre as tall as Danny Devito ... seriously though, with the passenger seat forward you should be able to sit the 9yr old behind the 13yr old no problem

Subframes and rear trailing arms for rust they are prone to it.

Might not have belt driving cams but the V6 chains have a habit of stretching which is a costly job.
