But I just popped a bit of 3mm on top solenoid connector and popped the 5mm over it which made a tight seal. You may get away with 4 but not sure, maybe need to do something like I did and pop a small length of 4mm inside the 4mm hose then connect to make fit snugger.

Or contact seller and see if they'll supply 3 instead
I used 5mm from the vacuum take off by the cam cover, 3mm for everything else. I guess I could have used 3 mm instead of 5mm, but the fit would have been tight; so what's wrong with a tight fit I hear you ask

Don't think so, think it'd need to be from 16\20v ones (a few breaking on ebay, may be worth a look).

Woot thanks to everyone - I've got my horses back! The tiny vaccum hose was split (curse idiots Route3 cars in lincoln, lincolnshire who had my car almost for a month and didn't do a single thing! They checked all hoses and told everything is fine! What a wa###rs!)
The hose I had split was about 3mm one end and other about 5mm- split was at 5mm end probably cause it was too tight for 3mm diameter rubber hose.
Thanks again finally after months I drive happy

Just a quick note to say thanks for all your help on my lack of power issue - it has now been sorted and is running like a dream. We replaced the silicone pipes and fitted a 2nd hand boost control solenoid (from a 159 JTD 8 valve!!) and used the fiat software to successfully switch off the motor control system failure light. So its all good...now on to the suspension!!!

I have this same problem, low power below 2700rpm and its starting to judder on switch off. It's a 2005 1.9 JTD.

I cannot for the life of me find the solenoid or hoses to check/replace!
If anyone has instructions or even better a picture showing what to look for I'd be most grateful!

Thanks

On your car the solenoid is bolted to the side of your airbox, its a bit tricky to get to. One of the pipes will probably be split. Does the VNT arm on the actuator move when you start the car?

Bolted to the side of the airbox. You need to remove the fusebox in front of the battery (and maybe the battery and tray also) or go at it from underneath after removing the engine under tray. You can't really see or get it it otherwise.

I had the tiny hose split just behind the left grill if it helps.
