Sorry if this is somewhere on the forum already, I collected a 156 last night bought blind (i know, i know) everything is fine with the car however I have a small 1 small problem, I seem to be to tall for the car!

Seat is all the way back yet I have to push and twist my knee against the door and place my ankle flat on the floor to use the accelerator and brake. Is it possible or has it been done to move the peddles back a few inches or not!? Or is this just one of them "driving joys" ;)

Thanks in advance

Im just over 6ft and I cant seem to have my leg straight or keep my foot on the floor without either bending my right knee flat against the door

Mines a 2001 156 Selespeed sportswagon

My left leg however I can extend fully without any problems it just seems to me the peddles are in the wrong place or been brought to far forward

Strange, i'm 6'2.5 and I've never had this problem.

Do you think that you just need time to adjust to the seating position?

Adjusted the seat back, forth, height etc same issue. I got a friend who has a 156 I can nip round today and check out, when i drove his before I never noticed this problem but doing 350miles after collecting the car my knee was really soar!

I'll play around see if there are any differences between the two cars, last time I had this problem was when I tried to get in a MG Midget...
