Classic Insurance

Looking to buy an Alfa Spider around a 98 model. Now I know it is hardly classed as a Classic car but if I was to buy an MGF of similar age there is at least one that will do a classic policy. That company is Lancaster I think. I will try them for the Alfa just in case.

For now if I buy a Spider it will replace my current Rover, so not a problem just yet. I will however look at keeping it as a Sunday best car if I like it a lot then buy a diesel with four seats for the grind etc.

This would mean the NCB I have goes with the daily and not the Spider.
Just wondered if any companies might so something similar to what Lancaster do for MG?

Got my Giulietta insured with Lancaster. Okay, it's a 1981.
Always thought the Classic Car 'limited mileage, agreed value' could be applied to anything over 10 years old.
Certainly worth giving Lancaster a phone. They'll always been competitive and efficient for me.

I use equity red star for my 1980 M535i. It is 108 for the year. It is not my daily car so have no NCB to add to it and the mileage is limited to 5000. They don't do NCB anyway as they said that isn't how a classic policy works with them. I can't earn any either. But at 108 I'm not really bothered. Oh and I'm 26 BTW so age isn't a factor

Cheers. Am aware of how classic policies work too I have spoken to a few but they have usually said the car needs to be 20 years old or more.
