Adrian Flux Insurance

Just like to say what a great deal I got. They undercut my existing renewal from Churchill AND did not charge any extra for uprated discs and Eibach + FSD - they make the car safer was their response. And got discount for being on alfaowner.com

That'll teach Churchill for giving me a Fraud Ka when my 156 is being repaired

Have my camper van insured through Flux and have to say that they do seem to be a decent company, naturally proof of the pudding is when you need to claim and haven't had do this yet...fortunately!!

I'm a fan of Flux. I had my 147 insured through them for a few years. They were always competitive, coming up with the best price when challenged and the level of cover was excellent.

Unfortunately I did have to claim after rear ending an X5 . The claim went through quickly and smoothly and the insurer they'd put me with offered a very good settlement for the car (which was written off). I would rate them 10/10 for the handling of my 'mistake'.

Great for my Alfa but they admittedly couldn't get near my best quote on my current car, a Smart ForTwo. I'll be returning for a quote with I change again, which hopefully will be another Alfa.

Decided to tell my insurers about the modifications i had made to the car, they decided they wanted an extra £150

I then gave Adrian flux a call. Quote from adrian flux, £790 quid They specialise in insuring modified cars, they are not at all competetive

Nearly £400 more than the best quote i got.

All quotes are with modifications declared (strut brace, suspension)

Elephant quoted £395
M&S £400
Autotrader insurance £405
Admiral £406

Anyone have any experience with these insurance companys, are they any good, etc....

cheers

Have you actually told Flux how much the other quotes were? When I previously dealt with them they always asked and then managed to undercut slightly, e.g £320 from Admiral, they came back with £300 with a better level of cover and lower excess. It almost seemed to me that they could better anyones price with an Alfa.

I've been with Elephant, and i'm with Admiral now. But never had to claim with them so can't comment on service.

Sorry to hear we've not been competative for you
If you would like, I can look into the details of our quote and see why? Maybe there are some additional extra's quoted in the price.
Thanks Dan

Told the person on the phone how many other quotes i got and the best quote i got. £790 was the quote i was given. Nothing had changed from when i got a quote last month from Flux which was actually cheaper than the best price from the other insurers.

Decided on using Admiral this year. 1 of my friends has used them for a while and thinks they are good so that is good enough for me. All insured from tomorrow which is good

May try Adrian Flux next year though
