Insurance Renewals...

Cor,

So it's renewal time for me and I thought I'd give the meerkats at comparethemeerkat.com a visit.

Renewal quote = 517 from Admiral.

Swift Cover = 400 quid..

Then I phoned Adrian Flux, apparently they're too busy with urgent insurance requirements right now to deal with my enquiry...

Wha...tha...f.....

Crazy.

Adrian Flux were crap for me quoting well over the odds, took me forever too. I rang up their number and some plank answered saying they would ring me back as were too busy, they never rang me back so I rang them and to cut along story short I will never bother to call them again! I'm with Privilege now and have been for 3 years

I'm sorry it is not that we do not want to help you. Our main computer sytem has gone down today so we are unable to access the majority of information needed for our Quotes / Renewals / Service teams today.

If you would like to PM me your Client Ref / Name - Postcode I can arrange a callback for you as soon as the system is up and runnig again.

I apolgise you were not advised of this when you called up.

Well well well - Adrian Flux well and truly are the business!

If you want a competitive quote on your Alfa Insurance, they're the place to be.

They even managed to beat my Swift Cover quote - Spot on!

I completely disagree with Adrian Flux being competitive. I have re insured the GT 3.2 with Swinton at £370, fully comp with 9 years no claims, protected with my wife as well. AF were no where near asking for around £470Then I tried my GTV 3.0 which I have 6 years no claims as I have owned it for 6 years. They wanted close to £400 for that. Not good. We are both over 30 and have clean licences, not living in a high crime/risk area.

Well, they're perfect for me:

23 Years old
5 years NCB
1.9 JTD 156 Veloce 140.

Paying under 400 quid, I can't complain...especially considering my renewal quote from Admiral the closest they could reach is £517!

thanks for the feedback. good and bad are taken on board and listened to.
If anyone feels they have not had a competitive quote from us then please do not hesitate to contact me and i can check throught the quote and maybe explain why we are slightly higher then others. It could be we have included our optional extras on there etc.

How much do speeding points affect the premiums - just out of interest?

It can depend on what the actual points and fine/ban and SP code are. but the usual SP30 £60 3 points should not make much difference with us. But as always depends on your individual circumstance and if you have other points etc.

Due to holidays I didnt get the opportunity to get a quote off AF but I'm now with Hastings direct this year. 9 years NC bounus, clean licence, 35 Y/O, low crime area but paying £296 - which I assume is down to having an exspensive to repair car.

Flux direct have come up trumps for me, 22 with a rather naughty SP50 speeding ban

I was paying £4500 this year on the V6 but now with a years NCB flux direct gave me £1250!! Which I nabbed because the nearest quote to that was £2400.

I dont think flux direct are the same as adrian flux are they?
