Re: new to alfa`s

Depends on so much that it's difficult to say whether or not that's a good deal. For instance;

My 52 plate 156 2.0 JTS would have been £750 for me, ended up costing £1k for me + other half.

My '98 Spider TS would have been £400 for me, ended up costing £350 for both of us.

Both parked on the road, used for everything, both 3rd party, fire & theft. Depends on so many variables - age, location, points, NCB, job, intended usage, which way the wind is blowing etc.

Try Adrian Flux, my highly modded 33 is only 300 quid fully comp with all the extras. I do run it on limited mileage tho.

Re: new to alfa`s

Leave the High Street and look for back street insurers, there's loads of classic specialists, are you an AROC member? Try their reccomended insurers for example, or Adrian Flux, my '91 75ts costs me £200 per year, fully comp inc europe wide breakdown and recovery, 3k mileage limit (reviewable after 6 months) with Norton Heritage insurance...

As seabadger says, there are soooo many variables...

This thread prompted me to get a new quote (via Elephant) for next year for the 156, when I'll have 1 year NCB, all being well. Down to £450 fully comp, or £380 3rd party f&t. May also be worth mentioning that when I was looking to insure the Spider last week, the quotes ranged from £350 to >£1k, so it's definitely worth checking out various sites or firms
