Remapping a 4C

Hello 4C Owners,

Just to let you know we are working on remaps for the 4C at the moment in Italy.

We have a couple of cars on long term tests so hope to be able to keep you all up to date with how we are getting on.

Best Regards

Why do people mess with any engine?

It has plenty of power for the car, it can cope with a fair bit more though.

Its one of the most rigid bodyshells of any production car, it can cope with way more than 240hp.

You are aware that Pogea in Germany already offers a replacement ECU which is remapped to varying levels (depending on how much power and money you want to spend)?

This has the added benefit of being able to switch out with the original ECU for warranty issues etc.

I thought the 4C had a 350nm torque limiter which basically couldn't be overridden without the engine management countering it?

Yes but there has been no long term tests with this as far as we are aware.

IIRC, Ed Pogea claims to have run his custom ECU for at least 30,000km in his own 4C.

No problems reported, but I doubt he would shout out loud about any that he has found!

There are members of another forum who have been running the Pogea ECU with no reported issues.

130 others, IIRC!

Red Dot did ask about *long term* tests, which is why I only mentioned EP's 4C. I haven't seen any detailed external testimonials on said other forum.
