4c for short term hire in UK

hi all,
I'm looking to hire a 4c for a short period of time - a week / 10 days maybe. Its for present for my wifes 40th .. shes a long time Alfa fan and loves the 4c and 8c (but I doubt I can get an 8c lol)

I've searched all the usual "supercar" hire companies - but no-one is interested in the 4c.

Any thoughts / suggestions / ideas ?

Cheers
Andy

I would be mightily surprised if any private owners would give up their P&J to you, I'm afraid.

The benefits - a few hundred quid - are heavily outweighed by potential damage to the car, extra mileage, etc.

I could be wrong though. Anyway, good luck!

Its fairly unlikely you will find a 4C for hire in the UK. However, you could treat your wife to a trip to Italy and hire one out there much more easily. Never mind the expense, just think of the Brownie Points!

Last year I was told by my supplying dealer, Platt's of Stoke, that a prestige/Sportscar hire company had ordered one from them, I don't know the name though, so its work calling around any you can find.

Sure. We are the only company currently offering the 4C for hire in the UK.

I'll rephrase that then.

We were the first to offer the 4C.

It's one way to keep the stock moving..
Got a list of FCA "partner" discounts and there's £7-8 K offered on the 4C now.

Is there any likelihood of that discount being passed onto regular consumers?

I have a mate who is interested in a new 4C, he told me the base price for the 4C Coupe was now about 5k higher than the base price when I bought mine back in 2014. It would be good to understand if he is being told porkies.

FCA's UK HQ, incidentally, is about 100 yards away from where I work. I wonder whether they would let me in to ask?

The discounts are available to British Cycling members. If you cycle then "Ride" membership is £35/yr and gives you 3rd party insurance when riding your bike (plus discounts at various places like Halfords). "Fan" membership is cheaper but I'm not sure if the FCA discount scheme applies.

Current "Deposit Contributions" are (as of 5th August):

4C Coupe - £6000
4C Spider - £7250
4C Spider 50th Anniversary - £8750

Due to insurance being astronomical my 4C is no longer available for personal hire, however, it is available for use at weddings as a chauffeur car for the groom. I've also just changed to a new madreperla 4C spider.
