Any thoughts about a surprise appearance in Detroit? Alfa was a no show in LA. When do you think we will see the Alfa in the USA? New York show?

Wonder when they will make a showing in the US then.

Detriot would have been the perfect place for Alfa to announce its arrival in the US

It's almost like a gag order in the US. I can't get anything out of anyone. I'm giving it till March, and then if I don't hear anything I'm moving on.

You'd think they would at least want to show off the 4C!

I don't expect this car showing up till LA Auto show the end of the year at the earliest. And if lucky, someone will get a car in the U.S. in 2015.

Hi alstoy, i understand your situation. However, trust me, you would miss an opportunity as there isn't any other car on the market comparable to the 4C. It takes too long till it arrives to US but it will and therefore I think you would regret. Keep calm!

So, now it's 2015. I'm getting old waiting for the 4C. I can't wait two years for a car, no matter how good it is. I'm off to shop for something else. Cheers.

Alstoy.. 2015 will see Alfa sell 4C's, the 4C spiders and other Alfa models.

They never said anywhere that 4C's won't be sold in US before then.

The discussion on 2015 refers to Alfa being back fully with more than 1 model and their own dealers (read FIAT dealers becoming AR dealers too).

You're right Perreby. The other model will be the new Alfa Spider produced together with Mazda.

I feel neutered without a sports car. I've been driving a SUV since I sold the Porsche. And Alfa is remaining me too much of my first girlfriend-yes, no, maybe. I will get something to hold me over till the Alfa gets here. So, I am really not going away lads!

Some people from the UK Fiat group have laid hands on the Giulia it is built, more than likely a concept or demonstration model. Hopefully turns out to be a full fledged production line model.

For Alstoy, don't be too hasty...

DETROIT (Reuters) -- Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne says the company's top-performing U.S. dealers will get the first tranche of Alfa Romeo vehicles when the sporty Italian brand is reintroduced to the U.S. market this spring.

Speaking at the Detroit auto show, Marchionne said a second Alfa model will come to the United States in 2015 but he did not say which one.

The first model scheduled to appear in Fiat showrooms -- the 4C -- will be the first Alfa Romeo to be sold in the United States in nearly two decades. Alfa plans to build just 3,500 units a year, with 1,200 to 1,500 destined for North America.

Alfa's revival along with sister brand Maserati is a key part of Marchionne's effort to turn around Fiat Group with high-margin sales and offset losses at the mass-market Fiat brand, which has seen persistent losses in Europe and slumping sales in Brazil.

Marchionne said he would reveal a new five-year strategy for Fiat and Chrysler Group in April in conjunction with the companies' first-quarter earnings report.
