room for a Busso V6?

Someone has to do it at some point. Transplant a Busso V6 to the 4C. 3.2 with an added turbo charger maybe. But the car is tiny, is there enough room?

I don't think there is ANY room at all in there...but I might be wrong. When I saw it in Geneva I was amazed of how tight things seemed back there.
Although if you think about the fact that they might do a Maserati with it....they will have to find a way to fit a bigger engine ;-)

it is really really small. The engine cover is about 2cm below the glass of the boot hatch

As much as I love the Busso V6, it would be a step back from the 1.75 Turbo.
It would weight more, use more fuel (so again heavier), and not give any more horses than the turbo engine.
Yes the V6 can be tuned to, say 300hp, but so can the turbo.

Would sound great though

That'd be the only reasons to do it.. Noise, responsiveness, character and looks. A tuned 3.2 in there with 270-280bhp and lots of revs to play with would be awesome. You could also make it howl like a demon with the right exhausts, something like my old 3 litre would be awesome

A 1750 is a much better engine in many respects, but it'll never sound that good

1750 Turbo

Nah Too heavy for the light 4C

May as well go all the way and put a Ferrari V8 in the back
