Potential Purchase

the thread seems quite quiet on 4C's at the moment but i am contemplating a 4C (hardtop purchase).

i really want to drill down into the essentials of what i should be looking for. it wont be my daily driver.

options on my list are:

cruise
sports exhaust
rosso alfa vs. rosso comp'
18' 5 hole in black - love the new spyder wheels but not an option i see ?

thoughts on luxury and racing packs..

basically i need some help as i new to the 4c and without a good configurator (spyder the same ?) i am struggling..

looking for a low miles car.

I've sold several 4C's to clients over the last 18 months.

Regarding the options you have selected I have my comments below.

Rear Parking Sensors were a no cost option. Make sure the one you buy has these fitted. Its a necessity.
Cruise good shout, I only use it in average speed camera zones.
Rosso Alfa vs Rosso Competizione - Rosso Competizione is stunning in the flesh. Rosso Alfa is also lovely but its a flat red. The reds do chip easily and Rosso Alfa is especially bad. I've seen cars with 2000 miles on and the front end is peppered with chips. I added PPF to the front of my spider to protect it.

The sports exhaust can be a bit droney on the coupe, but it does sound great. Even better on the spider as it doesn't drone.

Regarding the alloys, I have a spare set of silver 4C spider multispoke alloys. Very rare and I've not seen another set of them on the market (Silver or grey).

Regarding the packs, the race pack is fine, and comes with the exhaust, race suspicion and race tyres. The tyres aren't really worth the money but then again I don't like Pirellis full stop. You also get the rear anti roll bar.

I can't remember what the luxury pack consisted of. I think the Carbon Pod front lights and leather seats...

If you want a NEW 4C what’s presently left in the showrooms is the only choice you have. No orders will be taken as production has ceased. Choose one that’s nearest your specs and negotiate a price. Don’t worry about the race exhaust. Get a standard one (costs nothing) then ditch it for the Alfaworks Quicksilver Helmholtz exhaust.
If you get a Rosso Alfa coloured one get it wrapped as the paint is soft. It’ll chip just by looking at it. Not quite, but you’ve been warned. Comp Red will be a bugger to colour match. I’ve got a Rosso Alfa and it’s 100% wrapped.
I have cruise control but rarely use it. Rear parking sensors are very useful. Highly recommended. 18/19” wheels have a better road tyre range. I’ve got the 17/18” combo and there’s bugger all quality road tyres available for it. Even in new model Pirelli PZeros there’s no front tyre in a standard size for it. Hope this helps. Good luck with the search.
Once people start to realise that’s all the production there is prices will start to rise. Take the plunge soon. Whatever you buy make sure you get a good wheel alignment.
