I loved my 1275GT mini, but when looking at the Cooper S I have now I did try a classic, but it felt dated and absolutely tiny. Which was a shame.
That sums up why I call the BMW versions Maxis (Countryman, Paceman, Clubman).
They are more the size and shape of the BL dull-mobile.
Crossovers? Lump them all together- especially the FWD ones for saddos who want people to think they have a 4WD.
I fail to see the point of them. For 2/3 the fuel economy of an old Pug 405, they provide the same space, less stability and worse looks. They have about 10x as many days of the road as the venerable old Pug diesel and once again the term "scared of tarmac" applies.
