Hello all, just found this thread!

I'm Richard, an IT Consultant (resting) from Fulford in the south of York.

Picked up my first Alfa 2 weeks ago from Piccadilly in Knaresborough, an 11 plate metallic red Guilietta 170 deisel, and have so far put 800 miles on it and a big smile on my face!

If you see a red G reg ending WFC please wave!

Hello,
Im Jon i popped my alfa cherry on Saturday and picked up my 2006 Alfa 159 2.2 Luso and i love it!
A bit nervous but worth the risk.
I live in Sheffield, marrid to Mayra and have a beautiful little girl who has put muky foot prints on my tan leather seats!
I work for Npower (BOOOOOOOO) as a gas and electric engineer.
Let me know if there are any meets in the sheffield area. Or if any one is going to the hope car show!

Hi, I'm Chris, 56, and live in Mexborough. After having 40 or more cars over the years, I took the plunge and bought my first Alfa, sight unseen, off ebay on Saturday. Needed an estate, and after looking at loads of boring boxes, I decided to get something that I could enjoy driving, as well as being practical. It's a 2003 156 1.9 JTD Sportwagon, Drives great, but is in need of a little TLC on the bodywork.
I work as a Traffic Officer, with the Highways Agency, the people that close motorways for the fun of it (or so you'd think, judging by the reaction we often get!), and no, we can't do you for speeding!(wish I had a quid for every time I get asked that).
Look forward to spending time on the forum, and hopefully attend some meets, shifts permitting.

Hi All,

I am Cliff and I too live in York. Originally from the bad lands of Teesside I have ended up in York after many years of globe trotting on Her Majesty's Service. I am a Flight Simulator Engineer and have worked in Europe and the Middle East. Always been an Alfa nut but never owned one until now - bonus is the car was picked by the wife!, Result, so she cant complain about me always washing n polishing it. Definitely got Alfa in the blood now and would like to go to meets n days out n about in the area.
To Rich Parker - If I see you about I will give you a wave as I wave to all Alfa drivers in the area - not bin thumped yet but I do get some funny looks. Come on all you Yorkie Alfistas - lets Wave. So look out for an idiot grinning and waving in a Black 13 plate MiTo in and around York.

Hello! Thomas from Huddersfield here. I'm a 21 year old full-time student at York University and so I will be around York during term time. I picked up a 147 recently, loving it so far. Wish I could have justified getting the GTA, but I had to settle for the 16v JTD instead. Can't complain - I'm a student, so lucky to even have a car, and secondly it's a massive upgrade compared to the Fiesta I had before :p

I fill up the car at 35a sometimes - I insist on running the Monty on VPower (And I'll be the same with the 164 as and when) and the nearest is either Tankersley or Meadowhall for me! You might also have seen me on the Bypass - I use Woodhead as and when I need to be in Manchester. You're only about 5 miles away in Deepcar, we will have to meet up at some point :) X

Don't know if I'm allowed to talk non-Alfa here, but this is the other love. I'm never selling it, but I know all-weather use with my mileage for much longer will kill it. It's going to be the fun car, and the 164 the daily. Mad? Yes, I know I am!

Hi All

I have just taken delivery of a 2008 Alfa Spider and I'm loving it! Had it 24 hours and it's not broken down yet...I am looking forward to asking all you lovely Alfa people for advice when it does.

Cheers
