Sounds like a plan  Mango's were meant to dyno it after they'd finished all the work on it but didn't get round to it GRRR They did do a dyno halfway through the work and apparently was at 170 before the remaps. whatever it is I still love my car :inlove:
As you'll guess from my username, I'm Chris! I've been on here for a long time, live near Denholme and don't drive all that much any more - less than 25,000 miles a year.
We have a few Alfas - 159 TBi, 156 V6, 166 3.0 Sportronic, GTV Lusso and the ONLY series 2 Alfa 6 on the road. Also a Jeep Cherokee for towing and winters plus a series 1 Alfa 6 and a 90 V6 Gold Cloverleaf, neither of which are currently on the road.
I waved/flashed lights at Alfas for years but don't tend to bother so much these days as no one else ever seems to notice!
I did 50,000 a year for many years so 25,000 feels like not that much! We had 16 Alfas at the start of last year but most of what we've got now are keepers.
Don't leave your Brera too long...the 159 will last about three weeks before the battery goes flat.....!
Hi guys im K 36 (been told i dont look it) from liversedge, ownd my 156 v6 for the last 5 years been to a couple of the meets had a great time apart from car blowing up on way home , but shes been on road now for the last two years and running fine. Hope to see you guys soon
Hello.... I'm Dave, been around here a few years and organised a few things along the way
I'm the new Yorkshire Rep who'll be working alongside GhostyDog helping to make Yorkshire the envy of all the other regions, we may have to let a few of our poor cousins from NW join us every now and then but I'm sure we can smile and say 'bless em'
Anyone who knows me knows I like to have fun and anyone who doesn't know me yet will do soon  lets make this year a right cracker!
Hello all .. I'm living in Harrogate but I'm a from over the border (manchester) some time ago but loving the Yorkshire land . So last week rocked up to a local dealer being very dissatisfied with the 54 plate renault I had and drove away in a 03 plate 156 2.0l lusso ... It's Been a week I'm hooked the difference behind the wheel is unbelievable ,yes I'm sure there will be moments of frustrations with more warning lights than an aircraft but once your in it ..... Well you wouldn't be on here if you didint get it
Looking forward to the commute every day..
Great to have you back in the fold, get yourself along to any one of the many events organised over the next few months, we'd love to see you there
My name is Bob and I have just joined the forum today after collecting my shiny new red Giulietta veloce 1.4 TB MA two weeks ago. This is the great car to drive and to look at
I live in Thorner near Leeds with my wife Kath and two of our three grown up sons.
I decided to take early retirement last May after 33 years in the gas industry as a project engineer and reaching 56 years of age.
Looking forward to years of driving and polishing this beutiful car. Hope to see some of you at the meets in the future.
My name's Mike and I picked up my first Alfa, a GT 1.9 JTD this week. I'm 30, originally from Sunderland but now live in Hull with my lady-friend of nearly 8 years, Clare. As far as work goes, I'm currently employed in the wonderful world of debt collection as a trace officer - don't judge me though!
Im Danny, Ive just picked up a mito 1.6 jtdm and so far im loving it. From Bradford but living in Ripponden now with the other half. Work in Bradford for NHS IT support
I enjoyed it - it's always a bit strange arriving as a newbie into a group who are already acquainted seems like a friendly bunch though so I'm pretty sure I'll be along next month. Hopefully I'll have had a chance to give the car a wash first next time though - it was embarrassingly filthy!
I think the one thing that Squires is missing is washing facilities - i might suggest it - if they get some pressure washers in with long hoses on buy time, loads of people would use it in the summer!
My name is Chris, live in York and drive an 159 SW TI, I'm sure i probably know a few people in this section from facebook and other forums... I have heard about the Squires meets via YorkshireITALIA club and AlfaNutz on facebook - I shall show up at one sometime soon
Hi Blu, welcome to the forum, there's also Northern Italian Car Night last Tuesday of every month on Brighouse, this may be a bit out of your way though.
Keep an eye on the Yorkshire lounge for more meets as the weather gets better and the days get longer.
yeah i know of that one too. I really have meant to be turning up to some of these over the summer before i even had the alfa but things always seemed to happen last minute to prevent me. I have been a fiat owner for many years (about a decade i think from memory). Currently got a turbo converted seicento and a totally stock Punto GT3 - and yes they are both broken lol - but thats part of the charm isn't it??
I'm Mark, just the "right" side of 50 and married to Sarah, and a relatively recent arrival in York after 10 years in Sheffield (originally from London). I work as an environmental consultant, and my main hooby (apart from drooling over Alfas on the internet) is astronomy. Luckily driving an Alfa does not require cloudless skies .
I've just collected my very first Alfa today, a black 159 2.4jtdm Lusso Qtronic (08 plate). Its beautiful and I'm a very happy man. Although I bought it with an MoT and its just been serviced by the people I bought it from, I'm thinking of booking it into JJB in York for an inspection by some specialists.
Hope to see some of you around and I'll try to get to some the events and meets this summer!
Hi all in Yorks. Just found this thread as Im usually on GTa. Live in Howden but possibly moving to the coast at Robin Hoods Bay. This is the reason for my GTA up for sale( only parking is at the top of the bank in a public car park) although I love it. Will just have to see what happens but in no great rush. If I do sell then would like to stay with a 156 but maybe a 2 litre.
