Cheers - I'm in Bradford!

Don't suppose anyone round here knows what happened to my old 164 3.0 Lusso in maroon do they? K***WOH, I gave it to some bloke in Castleford who knocked on my door one day and asked about it! Would be interesting to see if it lived or got weighed in!

Hi Guys

I’ve stumbled on the AO site a couple of time in the past, this time I’ve decided sign up and introduce myself, so here goes for my first post.

My name is Ged I live in Sheffield, yes a true Yorkshire man through and through. I’m married with one daughter and only a couple of months away from my 44th birthday. My wife says I’m having a mid life crisis as last year I returned to the beloved Alfa badge and splashed out on an oil burning Brera, big smiles all round, except for the daughter who has to squeeze in to the back every now and then!!

Hope to get more involved in the future

Hi Maz

Not managed to get on the AO site since the weekend, I've been stuck on a stand at the NEC all week, worse than that I've had the drive the works van all week, a Renault Traffic, bad times!! Now back home and the Alfa's out, good times!!

Thanks for the Alfa wave tip I didn't realise its the law and I don't want a tug from the boys in blue!

Hi everyone. I own a 147 Ducati Corse and I joined the forum in June, when I got the car, as I needed a bit of help with something (I got the advice I needed within about an hour of posting ). I have a bit more time on my hands now so I'm going to try and get more involved with things.

I've owned my first Alfa for 5 months and I love it! There are one or two "issues" but it's the only car I've ever owned, which I enjoy driving so much that I go on random drives.

Before I got my latest car I had spent about 2 months researching emissions, MPG, depreciation etc and was on my way to test drive/ buy a BMW 118d. I decided to have a quick go in (now) my Alfa on the way to BMW because I had seen it on Ebay. 30 seconds after getting in the car the thought of research, emissions and MPG had gone out of the window and I signed on the dotted line straight away.

So far, my 14 month old car has only been in the garage 7 times :vomit:

Oh, and I live in Huddersfield.

Old guy - new member

Living in Cottingham (near 'ull)
Just inherited 156 TS from daughter (she's gone backwards - to a Jag)
V reg needed floor welding, suspension noises - all sorted (DIY) and now the Thermostat yawns
I'm the right side of 60 but I do all my car DIY - engines, electrics and with some help bodywork
The 156 is already anf enthusiasts car - had all the inard out and pushed every button
Looking at a weeping HG now (water in plug cavities)
Its like me - runs on adrenaline - runs smooth as silk (within the national speed limits) and just needs polish and TLC
