hey everyone, I'm Steven and I'm in Doncaster.

I have an unhealthy Alfa 156 Obsession. I used to sell Alfas years ago in 1999-2000, and have loved them ever since.

i have had four 156's ... first one was a brand spanking new 156 1.8 TS Veloce in silver. The cam belt went on it :-( and it was never the same, all sorts started messing up on it and i sadly had to move on!

Next came the rather intoxicating V6 selespeed on an 02 plate , in dark red, with a big arse spoiler. LOVED this car, but had so many probs with the clutch, i swore off selespeeds ever again.

replaced that with a beautiful 156 1.8 TS in steel grey, with spoiler and all sorts of boy racer mods that were fitted by the previous owner. this thing sounded like a fighter jet !! sadly, i ended up spending far too much on it, and when the suspension went for a second time, i had to tearily eyed part ways with her.

I just bought an 03 plate 156 Turismo, is Alfa Red. Just patiently waiting for the weekend when i pick her up.

Im actually fairly sensible, but not where Alfa's are concerned. I cant quite explain it really !!!

My Reg is ET53 *** ... give me an Alfa wave if you see me cruising about Donny / Bawtry / Retford

Afternoon " Blue " and welcome to the fold.
Ive got a 156 miself, so know what you mean about loving them. I'm just over the hump from you ( the Donny side of Barnsley ) so will probably bump into you along the way ( not litterally ). Hope to be arranging some South Yorkshire things so hope to see you there.

Thanks guys!

Got my latest 156 fully on the road now. Today was the first day taking her out. Im so chuffed, it drives beautifully. Real nice looking too, its a Turismo, with 17 inch alleys and smoked out windows.

I have a list of stuff i need to do to get her in ship shape. Just niggly bits like a new grille badge, new petrol cap fastener, some minor paint touch ups.

My wife tells me im an Alfa Nerd !!!!

Having just posted this on the Giulietta section I thought I'd stick it on here too. Get myself about a bit:

I thought I better re introduce myself as I haven't been on here for a long time and tbh I only used the forum as a way to get my 147 running. So if you feel used I apologise . Although technically it won't really be you guys as I used the 147 section not the G section.
So hi I'm Chris, I live in Doncaster, originally from Scotland and I love my Giulietta.
I like walks in the park, holding hands...
Feels like I'm on Uniform dating!
Has anyone else been using Northen Alfa in South Yorkshire BTW?

Hi I'm peter
Now I know I live in Ranby near Retford which is not quite Yorkshire but being so close to the boarder(and the fact that I was born in Yorkshire) I do regard myself as a bit of a split county Alfa owner.
Hope no-one minds a Notts man being on AOY but I dont really belong anywhere..
Anyway I bought my first Alfa 3 weeks ago and love it I've owned far to many cars to count but never an Alfa so I got a 1999 156 2.4JTD at a knock down £250 needed a little work for the MOT but nothing major, has just developed a fault with loss of power but i'll figure that out.
Hope to get to know a few like minded people on here.

Hi,

I've been an on and off Alfa owner since the late '80s but swapped a Giulietta last year for a nice Maserati. I couldn't stay away though so have bought a 916 Spider as a toy/fun car.

It has been all of that but unfortunately broke on the way down to NAD. Hopefully it will be back in working order soon so that I can enjoy it in the sunny weather.

1st *****

Hi,

As the title sates I'm a noob. Just bought an Giulietta 1.4 Turbo Veloce 2012 68'000 book has three stamps at *****.

Been told by all my mates and two garages to take it back, bit of smoke on start up but otherwise looks and feels great.

Think I've overpaid at £7500

Need help have 7 days left to take it back, or keep it.
