Warning Any reccomendations please????

Hi,

I have just bought my first alfa a 147 on a 52 plate and I was over the moon! Doing 80 in the snow sunday night past a lorry and the wiper linkage decided to snap!

Any ideas of the best place in the Leeds area to get it fixed without breaking the bank? Serves me right for buying private!!!!!

Thanks

Tom

If it's made it so the wiper is pressed to the screen and you push the assembly in as if it;s sprung then it's a whole new wiper motor and assembly and it's not cheap. Unfortunately they are prone to this in cold weather due to what I believe is a design fault.

See here, might be somehting completely different but it gives you an idea

Re: Any reccomendations please????

Thank you. Turned out it was the arm connected to the motor that had snapped. Managed to get one for about £150 and fit myself after alfa quoted £300 parts and labour!

Thanks again
