Menu looks nice, plus there some veggie stuff on it for Mrs MarkiT. Not too expensive either.
There are some nice places in York - Star Inn the City has got a good rep, but is pretty pricey. The usual chains like Wagamamas, Yo Sushi, Strada, Zizzi etc. Jamie's Italian is ok too (and I think they can easily handle bigger parties too). Some more local things like Meltons, some decent curry houses as well.
Only issue with York is parking...pretty crap in the centre.
what about those in the south of the best riding? Leeds seems a good compromise, plenty of parking, or a nice country pub on the outskirts of Leeds so we don't have to go into the heaving trendiness.
I would rather avoid the centre, only driven in Leeds once and was a nightmare, unless you know exactly where you're going you're screwed as the sat nav is no help.
Excuse me?? I think you've got me mixed up with someone else, if you want to wind someone up pick someone else pal. Look forward to seeing you at a meet soon. Simon
Christmas meal folks, someone please pick a venue and we'll go with it and get a thread set up, we can't please everyone on locations but hopefully folk with travel an hour for some good food and banter
All the sevens, good heavens ,good heavens, but yes, your right , I dont know if its just the thought of the car now being sorted or if there is a genuine improvement, but it sure feels better and again I dont want to crow about Gareth, but the service he gives and the explination of everything concerned with the job plus he shows all the bits and bobs replaced, top bloke.

I've got some big stuff that needs doing in the future, might have to give this fella a call
Im a Yorkshireman living in Australia and i miss it.
I was born in Mirfield and follow Huddersfield Town, yes i carry a heavy burden.
I have been here over 40 years and go home, yes i still call England home, and i go back every couple of years.
Australia is a very expensive place to live these days and the worst thing is, there are no pubs like back home. I have to drink that filthy slop they call beer. Oh yes nobody here drinks Fosters by the way.
I will support anything to do with Yorkshire.

Hi Simon,
Give him a whirl with nothing too major and see what you think, I'm sure you will be pleased with the results. If you do decide to go ahead , give me a nod and I'll sort you out with some directions. ......
