Just found out one of the disadvantages of the separate unlocking on the rear door of the 159 SW.
Locked the key in the boot. Took a 4 mile walk home to get the spare key and now thinking of reprogramming that facility out
How's this for an outing idea? The MiTo has been into Autoworld Chesterfield this morning for its 3 month running in service, and look what is in the showroom...
Does anyone have a good contact at Autoworld? I am sure they could be persuaded to host us Yorkshire Alfa owners for a few hours if we promise to tell any prospective buyers just how good Alfas are while we are there?
That's a great idea, I'd guess we'd have to be quick because that car will be sold and some lucky barsteward will be picking it up soon and enjoying it I'm guessing.
I can tap away at the keyboard on here and look like I'm working, but calling Autoworld will make my boss unhappy, he's an Audi driver... Any chance of you giving them a call Simon?
Do you want the good news, very good news, amazing news or the fantastic news?...
The good news is even though I am a little rotund, I can get out of an Alfa 4C with dignity
The very good news is that the 4C at Chesterfield Autoworld is going nowhere - they have sold both of their allocation and the one they have they can't sell until the Spider version is delivered, it is showroom only. Dave the showroom manager told me unless someone offered around £76k+ for the £56k spec example it would not be sold. So if you want to go see one, sit in it and listen to it fire up and rev the nuts off it like I did today, just pop on down!
The amazing news is that they would be delighted to host us for the day. He would lay on food and drink, advertise the day as an event and treat us like Alfa royalty. He said if we make it mid September it would be best as the 4C engined G Cloverleaf will be in and us being there will help with sales - always good to support a dealership so they don't go under.
The fantastic news is that the best Alfa that attends will be given pride of place in the showroom!
I will bring their contact details to the Turnpike on Tuesday
No the best Alfa that attends gets pride of place in the showroom
