Anyone from the York area fancy a beer one evening in Feb?

As per the thread title really, noticed that there are a few owners from around the York area some of us being new to the marque - dont want to upset the apple cart with any established meets i.e the Northern Brighouse meet that runs on a monthly basis (As soon as the next date is posted i will be going over). Its just that im fairly new to the marque and having posted a few times thought it would be good to have local one off gathering for a beer and chew the fat with like minded people put some names to faces? Well actually anyone from the region...

No idea about dates or locations - open to recommendations or i can continue to sit at home like billy no mates

Sounds like a plan. By the way, if anyone wants to have a drive in my GTV sometime let me know, I would be more than happy to let you have a go. (provided you are insured 3rd party through your own policy mind!).

Definitely!! I have the car at JJBs tomorrow for a few things to be sorted but after that you are most welcome to take 'her' for a thrash.

I'm York born n bred but live dahn sarf now. I'm back home a lot though, so if you get anything going and it coincides with when I'm about then I'd be happy to come along. Would be good to see something happening regularly in York, Brighouse is a bit of a trek. Good laugh though so get yourselves along there for NICN as well.

Update- my trip to JJBs was reasonably helpful.

- New thermostat to be fitted shortly
- Rear suspension fine (phew!)
- Knocking sound which I thought was from the exhaust was in fact a metal bracket thing knocking against the battery in the boot!!!!!
- Brake pads were not needed but JJBs seem to have sorted the squeaking from the front.
- New air intake pipe is about 200 quid from Alfa!! So I am gonna hold out and get a BMC induction kit thing...anyone know the best place to get it?
