New GTV V6 owner in York

Hello Yorkshire people.

I have just bought (yes heart over head decision which are always the most fun!) an Alfa GTV V6 on a 51 plate...with 6 speed, leather, teledial wheels with under 70k miles. I had an alfa before (164 while I was at uni about 5 years ago, L574SGJ where are you!) and I am ADDICTED to the Alfa V6, the proper one...

The car seems standard apart from the exhaust which is possibly not and the airbox has been removed. I must say that the car sounds incredible; I just cannot get over how a 'real world' car can have such a godly engine. As well as the 'beyond superb' engine sound, the throttle response itself is perfect. It is so refreshing after driving modern cars with fake feeling throttles where the response is in no way linked to what your right foot is doing!

Right I'll calm down now, until tomorrow on my way to work. Looking forward to meeting any other Alfa fans in the York area.

I saw a 51-reg GTV matching your car's description this morning on the roundabout between the A19 Shipton Rd and the A1237 ring road at about 8:40am. I assume it was you?

pretty sure i saw this car at the crossroads by water lane at about 11ish this morning, would have waved but i was walking!
