Quite fancy an x-type estate but they never introduced a diesel until 2004 so it may be hard to find one within my budget.

other than that maybe an Impreza estate or a bmw 530d touring.

If I can pick up a cheap derv estate I might get something cheap for fun to run alongside it, thinking MX-5

Nooooooo. Don't do it Karl , can't u buy a cheap diesel estate and sorn your v6 till the summer ? That's what I've done with the 156 v6 cause mot was due and the wife hates it in the winter (takes so long to get warm and defrost and drinks fuel in the process) so brought her a 156 jts facelift

As much as I'd like to it's just too much on the insurance to have this and another car and the bike. I know I wouldn't have to bother with the ins if she was sorn but it would be typical that one of the local scroates would set her alite the day after I cancelled the policy.

I think I'll definitely get another in a few years when I've built up my no claims again and can get one on a classic car policy.

There is a boggo spec facelift JTD wagon in the classifieds for 1750 mate Just do what I did and upgrade it slowly. Then you'd have a fast but tasteful weapon
