Here we go: the big West Midlands meet for this summer

On Sunday 31st July, we will be holding a bring-and-share picnic for all Alfaowners, their families, children, dogs and anyone else that wants to come along! This meet will replace our normal monthly meet for July.

We will meet up from 10.30 in the morning in the car park of the Blackpole Retail Park here. We'll aim to move off from there at 11.00am for a scenic drive around some pretty bits of Worcestershire (route to be advised nearer the time).

Our destination will be Old Hills at Callow End here. (If you convert to Ordance Survey map on the drop down menu and zoom in, Old Hills is labelled on the B4424 just south of Callow End.) We'll aim to be there by 12.00pm, so any who want could go straight there instead.

Old Hills is a beautiful common, managed by the Malvern Hills Conservators. It allows us to park up away from the road on the grass so we can picnic right by the cars. There's loads of space for fun and games like football, frisbee, tree climbing, kite flying and the rest.

Food wise, we did a great job at the last Simplyalfas Saturday morning surgery of bringing lots of food. So we can use this thread to co-ordinate our efforts Please note that open fires and barbecues are not permitted at Old Hills.

RSVP below and let's make this a fantastic day for all the family

Cheers
Evel and Aubrey

Here's the route for the scenic drive:

Linky

Like it says, about an hour's drive, including one of my all time favourite roads

Hope you all enjoy it!

Cheers

I can't help being an old softy mate
I really do miss you all

James is a very lucky boy, I came close to buying an RZ a few years sadly they wanted more than I could afford

You know what I'm putting me down as a maybe, pointless bleating on about missing you all if I'm doing nowt about it

*Subject to me talking to Jan and seeing if we both fancy the trip, Jan loves a Family meet*

A drive in the SZ would confuse me

So let's get this right I sit on the left hand side as a passenger

Jan's just asked how many sossy rolls to bake and how many Quiches, that's not an OK because she's had wine

Suggest if numbers are high that each brings their own food to eat. Easier that way
