Well I've had my confirmation of payment email now, which states that anyone whose car is on display needs to arrive between 7.30am and 10.00am. They advise that the earlier you get there, the better display spot you're likely to get. So it sounds like it's going to be a pretty early departure - I reckon we should aim to get there around 8.30am. Does that sound OK? If everyone's happy to aim for that arrival time, we can start working out some meet points and times for a convoy.
Cheers
Aubrey

Ive had no payment confirmation email from BIAMF yet
But have had one from paypal
I did have this one back off them about parking together
Hi Paul. I just wanted to advise that normally each marque is kept together in the same area but if you want to stand a chance of being with specific people it is best to arrive together. The earlier you arrive the better – and the better chance you have of a good display position. 8am is not too early at all!
Cheers
Paul

08:30-09:00 sounds fine to me.
On a side note (and not to hijack this thread) - is anyone else contemplating attending Spring Alfa Day at Duxford the following day ? I'm planning on doing both events, and am looking into hotels, etc in Duxford area for 16th pm. Just in case anyone else had similar ideas...a secondary convoy perhaps!

I'll be there, as usual. James, Paul et al - You want to be there well before 08:30 if you want a decent (Alfa) parking spot. The whole city centre got really congested by 08:00 on previous events, and you may have to park with the riff-raff Lambos

It's a work in progress! It's likely that we'll meet up with the Souwesters and Welsh at Gordano services and cruise in from there. Time is in the process of being agreed, but it's likely to be an early start

They are sent out only a few weeks before the event, not too far in advance. A packet will arrive with maps, and other info for the day.

Right, I've reached a decision on timings
A number of the other regions are meeting up at Gordano services with a view to leaving there at 9.15am. That means arriving there by 9.00am really. If folk fancy cruising down the M5 together, can I suggest maybe a meet at Strensham services (southbound, obviously!) next to J8 on the M5? If we aim to be leaving there at 8.00am, that gives us plenty of time to get to Gordano to meet the other regions.
Hopefully if you're coming to this, you've already RSVP'd in the main thread in the SW lounge. To avoid having lots of events with similar names, can you please RSVP for the convoy here in this thread. Please copy and paste the 'list' and add your name, indicating whether you'll meet at Strensham for an 8am departure or Gordano for a 9.15 departure. That way hopefully we won't leave anyone behind
Cheers
Aubrey
