Thumbs Up Chris Hardy Tyres, Telford

Just a quick thumbs up for these guys in Telford.
Had an eventful day with a 'difficult' puncture (see thread in 159 forum) where dealer wasn't very helpful (oh, surprise surprise) but these fellas managed to fix it.
Very courteous, and put everything back neatly in the boot and only charged me £18 for what they described as a 'major' tyre repair.

I have a VW Golf I need to get some stuff sorted before I get shot of it, so got quotes for exhaust, battery, brake pads and they were a fair bit cheaper than the usual suspects too.
Had a few people tell me about them, but never gotten around to going there, pretty sure I will again.

I used them once, nothing special in my experience.

I'd rate 'em 5/10

I was recommended to them too but my experience was not as good....

This was with my old 156.... they struggled to get the jack under and when i asked where they were going to jack it I told them i wasnt happy with it and that it should go on a lift.... they then struggled further and dropped it off the jack.... twice! The second time it ripped off the underseal and put dent in floor... the guy denied doing it even though i was stood there watching!

in the end i had to take it back for them to re underseal it but didnt give me any confidence at all and have to say i havent been back since which is a pity as I only work just round the corner.... I use Event tyres now, they are cheaper and come to me to fit them.

oops, sorry I spoke

I used them for the repair as they were the only place that could actually do it.

The Golf needs a new back box, but it's to pass an MOT before I sell it, so not worried about them fitting that, maybe I'll look elsewhere when I need tyres for the Alfas then

I did call Event tyres on friday when I thought that the puncture was non-repairable, and they couldn't get to me until tuesday.
Hopefully this was a one off, and I'll get time to choose a tyre fitter next time

I have been quite happy with Hardys changing my tyres and few other simple bit n bobs , they did give a £700 quote for exhaust though , got it done at MIJ inthe end for half that price in SS .

Find them nice & polite .
