I've just had a really nice PM from John at SimplyAlfas.
He's apologised for the treatment I received - I feel bad now for posting.
My post wasn't intended as a go at them, I was genuienly surprised at the fantastic reviews.
Anyway, Im a convert, and I'll be using them next time

Glad to hear John chased it up, was amazed to hear the responce on the phone was anything but helpful and supportive. They must have been sick of hearing from me over w 2 week period recently, but were always utterly professional and thoughtful on and off the phone.
The others are right, you won't leave!

right well where to start?
took my car to simply's for the dreaded mot and quelle surprise it failed, but Jon and the team have worked there magic and fixed her up good as new
Jon even spent an evening repairing my key, and for those that had seen it will know how bad it was but now i have a brand new key
they repaired my window which i had bought a new piece of glass for but the regulator was also broken but Jon said he had a spare one lying about so he chucked it on for us for free
you just don't get this level of professionalism, service and expertise anywhere else. FACT.
its not just this but all the little things too, they cleaned it, checked the fluids, they go the extra mile, when you go there you know these guys have a real passion for what they do and really care about your car as if it was their own.
Thanks again guys will see you after oulton to fix the other side of the suspension

They cleaned it???!!! Right, just wait until I get hold of John. I've spent a fortune in there and never had so much as a bucket of water thrown over it....grrr....
Only joking, they are always upto their necks in Alfas, and other cars when I go, not time to clean my car.

Right, officially sulking.
Will insist on a full interior/exterior valet with engine steam and wax, at the very least.....

Do you guys use genuine alfa romeo parts, do you source parts at the cheapest price possible and pass the savings onto the customer or do you mark up. I have used WAD in Wolverhampton and i was very impressed the car feels great but i was concerned that i was able to source the parts cheaper myself so im thinking i might try SA.
If anyone can help me out id be grateful
Regards
Freddy

Hey Freddy
From experience they are very competitive.
You should come down to our monthly meet @ Lye in stourbridge
I'm sure there are plenty of fellow AOers that will backup the SA team

Apart from not washing MY car....still sulking....I really can't fault the SA team at all.
Top blokes who go out of their way to get the car running as it should do. There have been several times when a part has needed changing and they have found a way to do it without costing the earth.
They are running a business, so I expect to pay for what I get, but there are no moans from me about being ripped off. Far from it.
I think the fact that so many of us drive out of our way to use their services speaks volumes as to how good they are.
Alfa-less for way too long

Im in the minority, i ask for my car NOT to be cleaned lol after 2 days of swirls and defect removal, no one washes my car unless it me. lol
There a good bunch, always look after me and fix my baby when it brakes down every other day lol
Did i read it right there doing diesel power upgrade ? Is this new found knowledge John from the constant tickering with my poorly GT lol
