Apparently "The Snake" divides Northern Soul afficionados as to whether it is a true classic of the genre or not. I was told this by someone who runs a NS disco in That There London.

Geno Washington is a superb act. Saw him at the Colne R&B Festival last year. "Nobody leave. If anybody leaves I'll break ya knees".

I saw a band called Big Ray and The Hipthrusters in 1987 at The Kirk....they weren't Northern Soul though. Thankfully.
