New shoes tomorrow.

Yes, it's that time that some ladies( not many though, I'm sure), and most men fear of.............shoe shopping time

My smart work shoes have a hole in them, and they need replacing. They typically last me about two years, which isn't bad I don't think.

The best bit is that I always go to my local Clarks store, and for the last ten years they have stocked the same shoe, with the odd small change..................they are comfy, fit well, and are pretty hard wearing IMO. So, I just walk in, head to the 'smart shoe stand', pick up said shoe, ask for a pair in size 8, pay, and I'm away.

Three minutes maximum if there isn't a queue..............that's my kind of shoe shopping

........conversely, I spent much longer in B&Q searching for an appropriate item to protect my chain stay on my bike (which has been mauled by the chain slapping against it)....found what I was looking for and browsed at several items and tools that I have no need for

Well done you!

Notice how the title grabbed my attention? (Although 'pretty' shoes more my thing, of course!)

Just a shame that my speedy shop lessened my value for money at the multi storey.....£1 for the minimum stay of 40 minutes

Haven't had to buy shoes for over a year now Unfortunately my shoe shopping is never as easy as yours Sparky Can never find what I like, the shoe I like has usually just stopped production or the suppliers can't get it there for a week ! I can stand it for about 30 minutes then I give up and stick with the old pair until I get wet feet or air conditioning Then it all starts again
