A Whole Lotta Beeping Going On

Despite what some may think...I'm quite a curteous driver
(NOT to be mistaken with the word "cautious"...although am
that too )...mainly

But...it seems everywhere I go these days, drivers are
stamping on their car horns at a rate fast enough to compose
the next Bjork single...at the drop of a hat

I only beep someone if they've done something extremely daft
or life threatening...NOT just because they beat me around
a traffic island or out of a junction...mind you...undercutting is
genuinely annoying

BUGGER...just realised I did this one before somewhere...OH WELL,
noticed it again today as a pedestrian...

...SO...HOW often do you BEEP and WHAT's the reason

2nd chances are rare

Re: A Whole Lotta Beeping Going On

I beep if I think someone's going to hit me if I don't.
On the odd occasion, I will beep in anger at someone, but they have to have done something pretty stupid, and seem to be completely oblivious to it. I'm not so much beeping coz I'm angry, more because they don't seem to realise they've made a mistake, so without a warning may continue to do that thing.

The woman in the Z3 the other day who pulled out of a side road directly in front of me when I was doing 60 did not get a beep. She was clearly aware that she'd done a stupid thing, and from the look on her face had already crapped herself, so beeping wasn't going to make much difference. Besides, I was busy trying to keep my face in place. Good brakes on this Coupe

Re: A Whole Lotta Beeping Going On

I believe I do the same as Bazza has already said. No need to beep if they know they have made a genuine mistake. The same doesn't apply to those who know exactly what they are doing when they cut people up, cause people to slam on their brakes etc, etc

Re: A Whole Lotta Beeping Going On

I beep.
I swear.
A lot!

I hate scooters riden by 15 year olds in the middle of the road at 30mph in 60 zones.
I was beeping like mad at two this morning, driven in tandem down the road. Knobs.
