Doped up on Paracetemol and Lemsips
...bear with me  
...went to work today with the worst cold I've had in years 
...at the end of the day...I stood in the bus queue that runs
from the hospital to the town centre...the bus pulled up
(seemed to be about 20 people in the queue before me)...the
bus doors open (I can hear them)...I rub me eyes and notice
that the queue seems to move at about minus 10 miles an hour 
 ...am getting frustrated with a blocked up nose and
blurred vision and I think to meself "Jesus...this is like being in
a line with 20 OAP's...PLEASE get a move on"...
THEN...I looked properly and IT IS a queue of 20 OAP's 
OK...point is...who has ever gone to work SO ill that you
shouldn't have...BUT you just KNEW that...IF YOU DIDN'T...
NOBODY would EVER do the work...GUILT and responsibilty 
2nd chances are rare

Been to work when very ill a few times. I found my last boss to be least sympathetic He was a right @rse. At these times I dismissed myself and said TTFN and see you in a few  We are allowed to be ill and are allowed to take sick leave you know
Quinn you sound as if you shouldn't have been at work at all. It's dangerous if you are as ill as you have described. Plus you of all people should know that you may well be spreading germs Not something that some bosses care about when they should really
